HOW To put restrictions on your Mac Computer:

  1. Click Apple Icon in top left of your screen

  2. Click System Preferences

  3. Click Parental Controls near the bottom of the settings

If you’ve set up Parental Controls in the past, click “Enable Parental Controls,” and then set up the controls.

Add new users by clicking “Add” at the bottom of the user list and entering a name and password for each new account.

For each account, you can create a custom profile to control App Store downloads, web browser restrictions, general time limits, among others.

To make sure no settings are changed:

  1. Open System Preferences

  2. Select Security & Privacy

  3. Select Advanced in the bottom right corner

  4. Check the box labeled Require an administrator password to access system-wide preferences

  5. Click the Lock icon to save changes
