So How Is It Going?

For the past month, we have been challenging, encouraging, and inviting people to have a 'coffee conversation' with someone- perhaps a coworker, church acquaintance, distant friend, or someone you recently met. I am using the language 'coffee conversation' in a specific sense, and if it sounds new to you, feel free to stop reading and click here to learn more.

For the large number of people who have joined us in this simple practice of gathering together around a desire to share a message of hope and the truth of Jesus - let me ask you, how is it going?

Were you able to schedule a time to get together with someone?

Were you nervous or anxious?

Did you have an opportunity to pray beforehand?

Was there ever an opening for you to pivot to a spiritual conversation?

I am serious when I ask, 'how is it going?' - that's not a rhetorical question. I genuinely want to hear the stories of where God has been working in your life.

Replying to this email goes right into my inbox. Feel free to reach out and share the work our Father is doing in the lives of His people at any time, now or in the future.

For those of you who have been reticent to join us in this endeavor, let me make another plea to join us. We can impact the city of Columbia by inviting friends, co-workers, neighbors, and family members out for a cup of coffee, tea, or any other delicious drink available at the Toasty Goat. Be sure and stop by the kiosk this Sunday in the lobby to pick up your free $10 gift card.

If you would permit me to challenge you to action by repeating the words of Paul in Ephesians 4 (emphasis mine):

Therefore I, a prisoner for serving the Lord, beg you to lead a life worthy of your calling, for you have been called by God. Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other's faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace. Eph 4:1-3

Join us this Sunday as we continue to unpack and explore Ephesians 4:17-32.
