A German, Habits, and Paul

Prioritize.jpg

A German writer named Johann Wolfgang von Goethe (feel free to pass that along to anyone looking for a baby name), once wrote, "Things which matter most must never be at the mercy of things which matter least."

Maybe you're like me, and find it easy to fall victim to the tyranny of the urgent. In the process, you set aside your most important tasks, work, ideas, and dreams. Do that long enough, and you can easily create a habit of pushing aside the things that matter most.

Let me encourage you with a word from Paul's letter to the church at Ephesus, "So be careful how you live. Don't live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Don't act thoughtlessly, but understand what the Lord wants you to do."

Is there something in your life you need to reclaim, redeem, refocus on, and re-prioritize?

See you Sunday - Bradley
