Don't Wait to Do this One Thing

Be the example.
We have to be active in helping create the solution we want to see. We need fewer contributors to the rhetoric and more contributions to the change required.
As followers of Jesus, we have been given a unique opportunity to stand out in the way we live, speak, and act. Like Paul says in Philippians 2:14-16,

“Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, ‘children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.’ Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.”

When will we stand out like stars in the sky?
There is a lot of grumbling and complaining these days, and most of us would not conclude that one of the ways we can be an example is by not adding our criticism and condemnation. What would it look like to speak into the myriad of critical conversations with words that matter?
Lead by example, and let’s create the change we are hungry to see.
Pray with me this weekend for real and lasting change that will only come from the life-changing reality of the Gospel. Let’s allow the words of Colossians 4 guide us in our example to the world,

“Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity. Let your conversation be gracious and attractive so that you will have the right response for everyone.”
