Are You Being Tempted?

If you are reading along with me in James this month, then today you should be somewhere around these three verses. James 1:14-16:

Temptation comes from our own desires, which entice us and drag us away. These desires give birth to sinful actions. And when sin is allowed to grow, it gives birth to death. So don’t be misled, my dear brothers and sisters.

As we head into the days, weeks, and months ahead inevitably, we will be tempted by something or someone. Instead of looking outward, let me encourage you to turn inward and ask, “What desire do I have that is leading to this?”What a great challenge for us as we strive to hear from God’s word and live it out in our daily lives?I hope you will join us this weekend as we finish out our series, ‘Family Matters.’
